Since acquiring our first collie in 2000, we have bred or owned over 20 champions, including multiple Best in Specialty and BOS at Westminster winners, establishing ourselves as breeders of exceptional Collies with correct type, health, and temperament.

Our breeding program is based on the success of Collie Club of America National-winning individuals, with the aim of producing rough and smooth Collies that are both competitive in the show ring and make great family companions. We are most proud of our accomplishments at the highly competitive Collie Club of America National Specialty, where we have won Best of Winners and multiple class wins and placements.

As a child, we developed a strong affinity for Collies and were fortunate to grow up surrounded by a powerhouse of Collie breeders in the south suburbs of Chicago. Through the guidance and support of Joyce Weinmann of Vennessee Collies, we acquired "Cara Mia," who went on to produce two dogs, Solar's Boston Legal and CH Vennessee's Just Takes Won, who have significantly influenced our family of dogs.

In 2017, we acquired Country Cove Hay and Honey from Richella Veatch. "Honey" brought us into the current era of Rohde Collies and has been an important contributor to our breeding program. Honey became GCHS CH Country Cove Hay and Honey, BOS at Westminster 2020, and No. 3 Collie per Canine Chronicle.

We take great pride in our family of dogs and carefully consider each breeding to produce the finest examples of the Collie breed with outstanding virtues and physical and mental soundness.

 

We are dedicated to promoting responsible breeding and the well-being of Collies. We are also recognized as an AKC Breeder of Merit and a Bred With Heart member.
